By simply following these “news monsters” they can have an easy access of the things going-on in no sweat and no additional expenditure.

Social media creates transparency rather than self- restraint of things. Social networking site users might not be totally aware that indulging themselves fully to these media gradually breaks the walls between confidentiality and communication. It is great to stay connected with friends from time to time. Nonetheless, what’s saddening about it is the fact that users over- articulated their thoughts, feelings and plans to their web of Facebook friends- whom some they don’t even know personally.

However, this is not to say something against these social networking sites. These sites are certainly not the ones to be blamed. The emphasis for responsible self-expression is still put on the shoulders of rational people.

Surely, social media are made available to make people’s lives easier and better-off to live.

In lieu of this post, I suddenly realized that as different social mediums are continuously introduced, more and more people are also becoming vocal about their thoughts and plans without thinking first. Using these pages such as twitter and facebook can be beneficial at some point. But as you said, social media creates transparency rather than self- restraint of things. I know a lot of people who never filter and they end up damaging relationships and connections along the way.

    Fully agree, until some regulations are done i guess irresponsible netizens will just be hanging around. not that i am pro of regulations, i myself cannot last a day without looking at my FB or twitter. i just hate seeing non sense posts. some people will never be capable of knowing what a harmful or damaging post is until it backfires to them.
